Secret Cutter - If You Don't Hate Yourself You're Not Paying Attention

SCIFDHY

Secret Cutter is from the Lehigh Valley, PA. They play heavy music. It's the best way to describe their sound. Sludgy riffs with occasional grinding blasts whilst a maniac is yelling. One guitarist, one drummer and one vocalist create all of this. Everytime I've seen them there is a wall of amps to back them up. Too loud to think. Support a DIY label and order that shit here.

Severe - Snitch Slaughter

s-ss

Throwback to the early powerviolence sound. Think Crossed Out and the like. That noisy blasting angry shit.

skull thumped

Brainbombs - Burning Hell

its a burning hell

You should know about these sickos. Disgusting noise rock about good topics. This was their first full-length. One of my favorite bands.

Bobby Soxx - Learn To Hate In The 80's

bobby soxx

Sloppy punk from Texas that nobody knew about. Two songs. Band turned into Stick Men With Ray Guns. About the frontman: "Bobby Soxx was notorious for starting fights frequently, stealing drugs on tour, urinating on other groups in concert, and inserting microphones into his anus before leaving the set for the next band."

Pissed Happy Children - Pissed Playground

phc

It is weird to me how such a small amount of people listen to this band. This was what was before Man Is The Bastard. Think the wild bass line hellrides but with more classic 80's hardcore influence, instead of MITB's neanderthal sludgeviolence.

Jarost Marksa - We The People

red

Russian black metal that sides with the red banner. Communist anthems with vocals that sound like a forest dwelling dwarf spitting up dirt.

Bone Awl - Not For Our Feet

nfof

Raw black metal from CA's Bone Awl. I just bought this 12" (originally released as a cassette) and it's sick. This band has a lot of releases and they are all good. I'll try to post more when I get the chance.

Broski - Jortch

broskee

I don't know if this band plays anymore, but Broski are/were an instrumental band from the Lehigh Valley, PA. I would say this is "math rock", but don't dismiss it because of this, as it's probably the only band of this kin that I care/d about around here. The 2-piece guitar and drum combo sounds great. It is simple and enjoyable music, although the music itself is carried by complex mathy riffs that set nice tones. Moods: triumphant, nostalgic, warm.

Vile Nation - No Exit

vile

Quick thrasher from Memphis-based Vile Nation. I think they use the same drum beat in every song, which is awesome. 6 hardcore punk songs.

don't miss it
